& Education Programme

Funded by the Department of Business, Innovation & Skills, Entrepreneurs and Education Programme was a three-year national programme striving to embed entrepreneurship and innovation across Further Education and Higher Education Institutions.

School for Startups partnered with the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills to deliver short form workshops to help Universities become more innovative: for the students, for the academics and as an institution. To help educational institutions meet the difficulties of a world with fewer jobs, global competition and increased pressure on public resources. The programme was asked to deliver introductory and advanced sessions, encouraging and developing employability and enterprise skills amongst all educational institutions contributing communities

Introductory Session – Challenge Workshops. Half day, interactive workshop to encourage and develop employability and enterprise skills.

Advanced Session- Impact Days
How to start or grow a business: the 10 questions you need: In one day we provided a ten question toolkit that could help turn a brilliant idea or new business into a success story.

Educators Day: This event was targeted at educators and was designed to support individuals tasked with promoting, facilitating and leading enterprise education in their organisations – enterprise educators. Educators may be teaching enterprise or seeking to awaken entrepreneurship in their students or supporting others to develop enterprise and entrepreneurship.

Leaders Day: This development day was designed for managers & leaders in FE & HE who wanted to learn how they could help their institutions to become more entrepreneurial.
